Thank you for supporting our craft show!

Santa’s Little Helpers, Inc. first holiday market was a big success! We raised money and received pajama donations for our pajama program. A big thank you to our sponsors, talented vendors, amazing volunteers, and the community for their support. A special thanks to John Knox Presbyterian Church for allowing us the opportunity to showcase their beautiful facility and host our first craft show. We would also like to thank Conductor Pete from the Louisville Free Public Library, Santa Pat the Derby City Kringle, and Julie Engelhardt Mrs. Claus for being at our event. On behalf of Santa’s Little Helpers, Inc. we wish you all a happy holiday season!

Thank you to our sponsors!

Keep Our Kids Reading Enrichment Program

SLHI Little Library

Our Library allows children to have convenient access to books anytime of the year. We keep our library stocked with books for all children to take and keep, or return to our library.  The goals of this program are to provide children with access to books and to grow home-based libraries.

In the summer of 2020, we partnered with our local public library.  The library donated books to our program and to Christmas in July Curbside Book Giveaway.  We had over 120 visitors in attendance. We truly appreciate our community partners.

Book Bag Project

Our program provides social workers in our community with a book and a bag for kids who are transitioning to out of home placements.  The goal is to get away from transporting children's belongings in garbage bags and give them a book as a gift to ease the transition.

Santa's Little Helpers Story Time

Our story time sessions are designed to encourage reading, provide reading interventions, and promote literacy. Last year, we filmed and aired our program on our YouTube channel.  This year, we plan to move to in person story time in the fall.

Our program is hosted by volunteers and guest artists. Please visit our channel at Santa's Little Helpers, Inc. YouTube channel or click on the YouTube icon to view an episode.

Pajamas for Christmas Program

Pajamas for Christmas Program helps foster children setup a bedtime routine, and feel safe when they go to bed. Gifting new pajamas to foster children helps to develop a bedtime routine, build self-esteem, and cultivates a sense of security at night.  We provide children in residential facilities a pair of pajamas for Christmas. We have donated over 500 pajamas in the past four years.
